On the presence of a sauropod dinosaur (Saurischia) in the Albian of Aube (France)

A sauropod caudal vertebra from the lower Albian of Mesnil-Saint-Père (Aube, northern France) is described. The specimen is incomplete and therefore a convincing systematic determination is difficult. Sauropod diversity during the middle part of the Cretaceous in Europe is discussed.
