A New Neustonic Genus and Species of Green Algae : Chlorokremys scutella (Tetrasporales)

A new genus and species of neustonic green algae, Chlorokremys scutella, a member of the Tetrasporales, is described. Each cell possesses a flat flotation disk composed of concentric rings which adheres the cell to the surface.
